My name is Jasmijn de Smit. I'm a coach, a mother of three, a lover of live music and Lindy Hop dancing. But more than that, I’m a woman who’s walked through the kind of life transitions that leave you standing in the rubble, wondering what’s next.
At 49, I found myself at a crossroads I hadn’t seen coming.
After a 22-year relationship, my marriage ended. Two months before that, my mother passed away. In the space of weeks, my entire foundation shifted. The partner who had been my confidant, my support system, was suddenly gone. I moved homes, only saw my children half the time, watched my social circles change. Everything I had taken for granted was no longer certain - not even who I was.
There were days I felt like a deer in the headlights. Sadness, confusion, anger - all tangled up. I didn't want to feel like a victim, but I was grieving more than just a relationship. I was grieving an identity. A future I thought was mine.
And while my head tried to move forward, my body wasn’t ready. I was in the thick of menopause, riding waves of emotional and physical change that no one warns you about properly. I wasn’t just going through one transition - I was juggling three at once: woman, mother, partner.
I knew I needed help. So I opened myself up to support in ways I hadn’t before. Coaching, trauma therapy, systemic constellations, manual therapy, even psychedelics. I joined a 3-day anger workshop that cracked something wide open. I went solo camping in Sweden, fasting for four days, and finally faced the question I had been avoiding for decades:
Who am I when nobody is watching?
And slowly, gently, something shifted.
I discovered a calm centre inside me, an unchangeable core that had been there all along.
Not a version of myself shaped by titles or roles or responsibilities - but one forged in truth, grief, resilience, and desire.
I stopped asking for permission.
I rewrote the story.
I started again - from the inside out.
Separation. Burnout. Loss. The identity shake-ups that come with aging, shifting careers, changing roles, or simply realising the life you’ve built no longer fits. Sometimes it’s loud and disruptive. Sometimes it’s quiet and internal. Either way, it can leave you feeling ungrounded.
If you’re in that in-between space - where one version of you is fading and another hasn’t quite taken shape - I’ve been there. And I offer coaching not to give you the answers, but to walk beside you while you find your own.
My work is rooted in presence, intuition, and the belief that real transformation doesn’t always look dramatic - but it always begins within.

There’s no rulebook for how to rebuild after a transition.
But there are safe spaces. Spacious ones.
This is one of them.
When you’re ready to step forward - even if it’s just one small step - I’ll be here.
Warm, present, and walking beside you every step of the way.
